Michigan Massage Therapy

Continuing Education Requirements

Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Michigan, the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy requires 18 CE hours every three years. Two of these hours must be in professional ethics and one hour must be in the area of pain and symptom management.

In addition to your 18 CE hours, you are also required to complete one CE hour in training on implicit bias (as of June 1, 2022). We do not currently offer a course on implicit bias as defined by the Board.
