Holistic Pathology, Part 1

10 Hour CE Course

  Print this Page

This course requires a printed textbook but the test and certificate are available online.

Description: This course will deepen your understanding of pathology, from a body/mind approach. Organized by body system, it presents key concepts about how to recognize and confidently respond to soft tissue and movement therapy indications, precautions and contraindications for over 150 health conditions and provides an excellent reference after the course is done. This course is on Clearance because the textbook has a number of 'typos.' These errors don't affect the value of the information in the book. (See the excellent Reviews from past customers.)

    Sample Text

If the interruption in blood flow is temporary and minor, the damage is called ischemia. If cells die, the damage is called an infarct. An infarction is an area of tissue that dies when it does not receive enough blood flow. An infarction can occur in any body tissue, but it occurs most often in the brain and the heart due to their immediate need for large amounts of oxygen and nutrients.” from Holistic Pathology for Body-Centered Therapists (2002) by Sharon Burch, MSN, NCTMB
